Boston – April 21, 2021 – Paperless Parts, the leading estimating and quoting software for job shops and contract manufacturers, announces the addition of Vice President of People Strategy and Operations, Sarah Ward. Ward joined Paperless Parts in Q4 2021 and has been spearheading the execution of the company’s ambitious plans for the People function, from doubling the size of the company by the end of 2022 to building out new career and personal development programs.

Ward brings over a decade of people and operations experience across multiple industries including tech, construction, and hospitality. She most recently led the people and operations function at Affectiva, a MIT media lab startup in the Automotive and Media Analytics space. With so much growth set for the year, Ward knows that getting the right people on the team will be imperative to the success of the company. “We’re actively striving to become a better company, better leaders, and better humans – and that’s really exciting to be a part of,” remarks Ward.

In 2021, Paperless Parts tripled in size, with 25% of that growth happening after Ward was brought on board in Q4. While they ended the year with 78 employees, they are now preparing to onboard their 100th employee and currently have open positions across all functions.

The People team, which currently consists of Ward, a Senior HR Generalist, a Senior Recruiter, and a People Operations Specialist, will focus on several key themes throughout 2022 across Talent Acquisition, Benefits and Administration, and People and Culture. The team is working on launching a variety of new benefit offerings, a DEI committee, career development and growth initiatives, a performance feedback program, and they’re currently working to finalize their professional development and educational stipend program.

“Strong people operations is the foundation of our company. As we work to scale, we are hyper-focused on building out the right People team to continue to recruit and support amazing talent,” – Paperless Parts CEO & Co-founder, Jason Ray

Ward’s team is focusing on more than just professional development opportunities; they’re investing more than ever in employee benefits. Paperless Parts proudly offers unlimited PTO, 100% coverage of health, dental, and vision premiums for both employees and their families, company-sponsored life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, additional voluntary life, a generous monthly wellness stipend, a 401k program with ESG fund options, pre-tax commuter and FSA options, and employee recognition programs. They also provide employees with top-grade tech and complimentary branded gear and apparel.

“Relationships Matter” is one of Paperless Parts’ core beliefs; they value human connection and provide an office environment that fosters productivity, collaboration, and creativity. The People team is planning on hosting multiple team-building events this spring and summer, and while the majority of the Paperless Parts team resides in the Boston area, there will also be programs designed to support remote participation for out-of-state employees (including those that have relocated to help establish the company’s Southern California presence).

Paperless Parts CEO & Co-founder, Jason Ray, champions the company’s investment in its People function: “Strong people operations is the foundation of our company. As we work to scale, we are hyper-focused on building out the right People team to continue to recruit and support amazing talent,” says Ray.
