How to Drive Data-Based Decisions in Your Shop
Jeff Gorman
Day 1 | 2:00-2:45
What if your shop’s data could tell you how likely you were to win a job? What if you knew which jobs were going to be most profitable before you quoted them? Join this session with Paperless Parts’ Senior Customer Success Manager Jeffrey Gorman and see how to use data to drive better business decisions and increase revenue at your shop. With our Advanced Analytics feature, you can leverage your shop’s data and pull reports on things like win rates by geometry or material, which types of jobs are most profitable, reasons for lost jobs, average time spent on quotes, and more to analyze how your business is performing over time.
Hiring and Training New Estimators
Jay Jacobs + Christian Cortez
Day 1 | 11:15-12:00
In today’s competitive labor market, it is essential to view hiring as an ongoing activity and always be on the lookout for potential candidates. It’s equally important to invest time and effort into your training and onboarding programs. Jay Jacobs, former job shop owner and Co-Founder & Chairman of the Board at Paperless Parts, along with Christian Cortez, Engineering Manager at Waltz Bros. Inc., will lead this session, sharing effective strategies for attracting (the right) entry-level talent, equipping less experienced estimators with Paperless Parts, and making your shop a place they’ll love to work.
Costing vs. Pricing: Strategies for Effective Estimating
Dana Wensberg
Day 1 | 4:00-4:50
Costing is about the many resources it takes your shop to make a part. Pricing is how much your customer and the market are willing to pay for that part. Too often, shops leave money on the table by not accurately thinking about their costing model, and not taking advantage of different pricing levers. Check out this session led by Paperless Parts Product Manager Dana Wensberg to learn key lessons for more accurate costing and discover new ways to maximize profit margins.
