Jason Ray is the Co-Founder and CEO of Paperless Parts, the platform for manufacturing that enables machine shops to streamline communications, quote faster and more accurately, improve customer experience, and grow their business. Jason found his passion for manufacturing while serving at the Pentagon in the United States Navy as a supply and logistics officer, where he led advanced manufacturing implementation. Seeing the negative impacts associated with ineffective sourcing of short-run production companies, Jason was determined to solve this critical problem that plagues manufacturing. Jason has a B.A. from Trinity College and an MBA from Babson College.
Scott Sawyer
Co-Founder & Chief Scientist at Paperless Parts
Scott Sawyer is the Co-Founder and Chief Scientist of Paperless Parts. Prior to founding Paperless Parts, he worked in engineering and leadership roles in consumer electronics and the defense industry. At Lockheed Martin and MIT Lincoln Laboratory, he created technology in the areas of anti-tamper, big data analysis for cybersecurity, and video and radar signal processing, resulting in numerous publications and patents.

Hernan is the President of Ricaurte Precision, Inc., a certified AS9100D and ISO 9001:2015 precision machine shop. Prior to joining the family business, Hernan spent over 20 years in the medical device and healthcare industry, serving in senior management positions in the US and Japan. Hernan is also the president of the Los Angeles Chapter of the National Tooling and Machining Association (LA/NTMA), the center of knowledge and action for Southern California’s precision manufacturing community.

John Slater

John Slater is a distinguished Senior Advisor at FOCUS, where he plays a pivotal role in the Advanced Manufacturing Team. His expertise encompasses a broad spectrum of advisory services, including mergers and acquisitions, capital raising, and financial restructuring, primarily targeting entrepreneurial and family-owned businesses within the manufacturing and distribution sectors. Before his current role, Slater spearheaded the Capital Financing practice at FOCUS and later initiated the firm's Advanced Manufacturing Team, serving as its leader before transitioning to focus on mergers and acquisitions and capital growth initiatives aimed at revitalizing American manufacturing. Slater's industry expertise is vast, covering manufacturing, distribution logistics, aerospace, medical devices, robotics, automation, information technology, and business services.He has a notable track record in the Precision Manufacturing sector, particularly in Precision Machining and Metalworking. Slater's academic background includes an AB degree in Economics from Princeton University and a JD degree from the University of Virginia Law School. He holds FINRA registration and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
