At POWER 2023, we talked about what KPIs to measure to transform your business (e.g. What types of KPIs are you able to track? What types of business decisions are better supported by having this type of data at your fingertips?). This year, we’ll do a quick refresh on those concepts then spend the majority of the workshop hands-on in the platform building out your Analytics dashboard: How can you pull a report on information you need to better understand your business? What types of integrations can help funnel useful information into and out of Paperless Parts? Plus, get a quick rundown on how to dive even deeper into your quoting data with Paperless Parts’ Advanced Analytics.

Breakout Workshops

Paperless Parts & Lean Manufacturing

Staying ahead in manufacturing requires continuous improvement. The most efficient, productive, and profitable shops regularly analyze, measure, and improve their existing processes. The first step to improving a process, either in the front office or on the shop floor, is to map it out—with a process map, you can identify bottlenecks and areas for improvement. In this session, Paperless Parts’ product experts and seasoned customers will get hands-on with the best tools to use and walk through a process mapping exercise for their quote to cash cycle.

This session will be hosted by Paperless Parts Senior Software Engineer, Dana Wensberg.

About Dana
Dana Wensberg has been with Paperless Parts since 2017, playing an integral role in building the first version of the platform. He’s worked across almost all functions of the organization, developing close relationships with hundreds of customers. Most recently he’s been operating as a Senior Software Engineer, getting back to what he loves doing most: building awesome software.

The Road to CMMC

With CMMC planned to start hitting contracts in early 2025, shops that work with the DIB need to start preparing now for how to meet compliance requirements. No matter where you are on your CMMC compliance journey, this session will outline where to get started and how Paperless Parts can help in your compliance efforts. We’ll be presenting an update on the CMMC rollout, FedRAMP equivalency for cloud service providers, and how the Paperless Parts’ Aerospace & Defense package is designed to support CMMC Level 2 Certification.

This session will be led by Paperless Parts Co-Founder & Chief Scientist, Scott Sawyer.

About Scott
Scott Sawyer is the Co-Founder and Chief Scientist of Paperless Parts. Prior to founding Paperless Parts, he worked in engineering and leadership roles in consumer electronics and the defense industry. At Lockheed Martin and MIT Lincoln Laboratory, he created technology in the areas of anti-tamper, big data analysis for cybersecurity, and video and radar signal processing, resulting in numerous publications and patents.

Quoting from PDFs: How to Drive Accuracy & Efficiency When Quoting from Prints

Quoting from prints is time-consuming and error-prone; notes are hand-written on print-outs and end up filed away instead of in the hands of programmers if the job is won. Redacting and sharing information with outside vendors is clunky (and threatens data security). Learn how to review and quote from prints within Paperless Parts – digitally mark up files, securely collaborate, redact sensitive information, easily compare file revisions, and more. Plus, see how our new AI-supported Paperless Assistance feature helps automate and streamline your process of pulling the information you need off of a print. Leave the workshop more confident in how to leverage all the functionality of the PDF Viewer.

This session will be led by Paperless Parts Presales Team Lead Connor LaChapelle.

BOM Building, Reimagined

Building out your bill of materials (BOM), the comprehensive list of parts, assemblies, subassemblies, documents, drawings, CAD models, and other materials required to create a product, might be easier than you think. If you quote assemblies in Paperless Parts, you won’t want to miss this session where we’ll be walking through how to use Paperless Parts to edit the CAD-extracted quantity of components, move them up or down in the tree structure without having to leave Paperless Parts (or even your quote) and send more accurate quotes, with fewer mistakes, in less time.

This session will be led by Paperless Parts Product Manager Meg van Deventer.

About Meg
Meg van Deventer joined the Paperless Parts team in 2021, starting as an Implementation Project Manager. After onboarding more than 30 shops across a wide variety of sizes and industries, she moved to the Product team.
