A Keynote from the CEO of Paperless Parts

Join Paperless Parts Co-founder and CEO for a welcome keynote presentation.

Customer Panel: How Paperless Parts “Power Users” Are Driving the Platform in 5th Gear

It’s one thing to understand how to use Paperless Parts but another to be a power user. POWER 2023 is all about learning how to become a power user of Paperless Parts by discovering new ways to use the platform to drive real business results. In this session, our Co-Founder & CEO Jason Ray will facilitate a panel-style discussion with three customers who are driving Paperless Parts in its highest gear. You’ll walk away with new ideas for approaching tried and true processes, best practices for using some of our most impactful (yet underutilized) features, and creative strategies for generating revenue, efficiency, and consistency at your shop.

Hiring and Training New Estimators

In today’s competitive labor market, it is essential to view hiring as an ongoing activity and always be on the lookout for potential candidates. It’s equally as important to invest time and effort into your training and onboarding programs. Jay Jacobs, former job shop owner and Co-Founder & Chairman of the Board at Paperless Parts, along with Christian Cortez, Engineering Manager at Waltz Bros. Inc., will lead this session, sharing effective strategies for attracting (the right) entry-level talent, equipping less experienced estimators with Paperless Parts, and making your shop a place they’ll love to work.

Breakout Sessions

Building Your CMMC-Compliant Environment with Paperless Parts
The CMMC final ruling is expected to be issued in early 2024, and there is a lot that shops need to do beforehand to ensure they are compliant with CMMC, as well as meeting the cybersecurity requirements of their customers. In this session, join co-founder and CTO Scott Sawyer to understand what CMMC is, what shops will need to undertake to be compliant, and how Paperless Parts and the new IT Module can help support certification efforts.

Quoting from PDFs Workshop: How to Drive Accuracy & Efficiency When Quoting from Prints
Quoting from prints is time-consuming and error-prone; notes are hand-written on print-outs and end up filed away instead of in the hands of programmers if the job is won. Redacting and sharing information with outside vendors is clunky (and threatens data security). Join Customer Education & Enablement Manager Meg van Deventer to learn how to review and quote from prints within Paperless Parts – digitally mark-up files, securely collaborate, redact to protect sensitive information, easily compare file revisions, and more. This is a hand-on session – bring your laptop and follow along with part files within your Paperless Parts instance. Leave the workshop more confident in how to leverage all the functionality of the PDF Viewer.

Break

How to Drive Data-Based Decisions in the Shop

What if your shop’s data could tell you how likely you were to win a job? What if you knew which jobs were going to be most profitable before you quoted them? Join this session with Paperless Parts’ Senior Customer Success Manager Jeffrey Gorman and see how to use data to drive better business decisions and increase revenue at your shop. With our Advanced Analytics feature, you can leverage your shop’s data and pull reports on things like win rates by geometry or material, which types of jobs are most profitable, reasons for lost jobs, average time spent on quotes, and more to analyze how your business is performing over time.

Break

Vision for eCommerce and Material Pricing

How often do you get material quotes? How long do you have to wait for quotes to come back? How much time do you waste going back and forth with your material salespeople? How often do orders get fat-fingered? Join this session led by Ken Cowan, VP E-Commerce at Paperless Parts to hear how Paperless Parts will save you time and reduce risk in your quoting and purchasing processes.

Costing vs. Pricing: Strategies for Effective Estimating

Costing is about the many resources it takes your shop to make a part. Pricing is how much your customer and the market are willing to pay for that part. Too often, shops leave money on the table by not accurately thinking about their costing model, and not taking advantage of different pricing levers. Check out this session led by Paperless Parts Product Manager Dana Wensberg to learn key lessons for more accurate costing and discover new ways to maximize profit margins.
