BOSTON — Paperless Parts’ new Director of Product Management, Beau Blinder, joins the team after six years at Salsify. There, he oversaw the product design, strategy, and vision as the business scaled from 70 to 700 people and to over $100M in revenue. With this past leadership experience, Blinder strengthens Paperless Parts’ product vision and process in its mission to enable manufacturers with the technology they need to drive innovation — and our world — forward.
Blinder views product management as a balancing act between external and internal business impact: product solutions should be innovative and add value for users while also being feasible for businesses to support. To successfully achieve this balance, Blinder is a champion of engaging with as many stakeholders as possible (customers, analysts, adjacent industries, partners, coworkers, etc.) and using data to develop actionable plans.
Paperless Parts’ Product Management team and parallel Engineering and Design teams welcome Blinder with open arms, citing his passion and expertise as key assets for the company’s growth.
According to Product Manager Dana Wensberg, “Beau has seen it before; he has been a product leader at a SaaS company that has successfully scaled… In his previous roles, he delivered solutions that made highly complex datasets feel simple for customers. Paperless Parts helps job shops with the same challenges in estimating and quoting.”
Wensberg isn’t alone in viewing Blinder’s arrival as pivotal for the product and company development; Associate Product Manager Alex Sinson says Blinder’s mentorship and expertise will guide how her team, and Paperless Parts as a whole, evolves to meet customer needs from the inside out.
“Our growing culture needs to focus on clear and concise communication and data-backed decision making”
Blinder’s focused approach to product growth shapes a bright future for Paperless Parts, one where the product team empowers the rest of the company to align on organizational objectives. One of their paramount goals is to continue to put their customers first. Since new features and enhancements to Paperless Parts stem from customer feedback, product managers can expect to form personal bonds with members of the manufacturing community.
With his combined wealth of industry experience and fresh perspective, Blinder has outlined a path for developing the Product team: “Our growing culture needs to focus on clear and concise communication and data-backed decision making,” he explains. “But most importantly, we need to continue to hold a high degree of empathy for our customers, stakeholders, and coworkers.”
In 2022, Paperless Parts continues to invest in their employees. Team members look forward to new and expanded programs for personal and professional development, career progression plans, and performance feedback. Headquartered in Boston’s bustling West End, Paperless Parts offers a dynamic, driven, and collaborative work environment.
